Grief is a natural response to the death of a loved one. This response is sometimes called a journey because it takes time to work through. Everyone’s journey of grief is personal and unique because of the special relationship to the person who died.
At the time of a loved one’s death, there are many new experiences and emotions. Grief is often painful and overwhelming. Grieving is necessary but a difficult time for everyone. You are not alone.
Rice Hospice offers a six to eight week bereavement support group program in several locations: Appleton, Benson, Dawson, Granite Falls, Montevideo, Ortonville/Graceville, and Willmar.
Healing Hearts Support Groups are open to all community members at no cost. It is not necessary to have utilized Rice Hospice program to participate.
Support groups are offered in the Spring, Fall, and during Winter Holidays.
For those that have gone through the Healing Hearts program and desire continued support, they are welcome to continue on to Healing Hearts II for an ongoing monthly support group.
