Our fall volunteer training is set for Monday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 18. Anyone interested in becoming a Rice Hospice volunteer will need to complete the 2-day training. We offer a comprehensive look at the Rice Hospice program, including communication and caring skills, the role of volunteers, infection control, and an overview of complementary therapies that set Rice Hospice apart from other hospice programs.
Our training is also beneficial for anyone who works with hospice patients. Nurses (RNs/LPNs), physicians, clergy, nursing assistants, home health aides, social workers, public health nurses, pharmacists, paramedics/ emergency medical technicians, volunteers, and funeral directors and long-term care staff.
